A True Fiscal Conservative
We cannot continue to spend beyond our means, period!
We cannot just continue to expect those who pay taxes to bear the burden for unwise spending by BIG government. We have to move to the measure of success being transformed lives for those that require much service and to provide more liberty for those that don't.
More and more taxes and no lid on State spending in sight...something has to give; it can't just be us anymore.
Raising taxes and creating new ones cannot always be the go to. We need new thinking and more creativity , we need Leadership that cares and understands the concept of stewardship on behalf of all tax payers. We also need a State Government that doesn't kick their can down our road by forcing mandates on us without the funds to execute...that is weak leadership.
Enough is enough....
I am generally opposed to the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community removing more land from the county property tax rolls. I am also leaning into understand both sides of this equation as our cities look to enter into partnerships with the Tribe.
With that being said, I firmly believe in being a good neighbor and I will work hard to be a good neighbor with everyone, but it has to be a two way street...
I am generally opposed to the doctrine of Eminent Domain. I believe that when the government, at any level, comes in to steal or displace homes and businesses by bullying and confusion that cannot be tolerated....
The reality is, we can all enjoy the services we need without these continued burdensome and foolish tax increases....it is time to take a stand; it is time for Beer!
We, as individuals were meant to have the abundant life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our government (at all levels) seems hell bent on destroying that pursuit with continued burdens and extreme taxes which make it difficult to get ahead. I am convinced I can make a difference at the county level, for all of us.
